Working Capital & Trade Solutions Manager

About the role

Standard Bank Group is hiring a Working Capital & Trade Solutions Manager in Windhoek. The role grows and retains client relationships within an allocated segment or sector portfolio (for example Commercial Banking, Agribusiness, Public Sector and Africa China Banking) and delivers the segment's offerings, tools and initiatives to improve client experience and bank profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Serve clients in the assigned portfolio, understand their needs through regular value-adding interactions and formulate tailored solutions, including reviewing financial statements and payment flows to resolve cash-flow problems.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand them across the existing client base to meet financial budget targets for the portfolio, through asset and liability growth, transactional and margin management and revenue streams.
• Prepare and submit quality credit applications for Credit approval, or oversee their preparation by the Relationship Management Advisor, and conduct credit reviews and manage annual credit review timelines.
• Structure and customise credit loan facilities to client needs, communicate their terms and qualifying criteria, and notify clients promptly of approvals or declines.
• Source market information and trends to share proactively with clients and the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Commerce in Management Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5-7 years of proven experience in trade finance and working capital solutions, with strong financial acumen and the ability to carry out financial, documentary and credit analysis.
• Sound understanding of credit risk assessment, client working capital cycles and the structuring of trade finance solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth through business development and build sustainable client relationships.
• A Chartered Accountant or CIMA qualification is an added advantage.
