Senior Lecturer (Public and Procedural Law)

About the role

The University of Namibia is recruiting a full-time Senior Lecturer in Public and Procedural Law on its main campus. The position combines teaching, research and supervision of law students with contributions to academic administration, quality assurance and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Teach, assess and support undergraduate and postgraduate law students
• Design and review learning materials and curricula
• Conduct and publish quality research and supervise student research
• Contribute to academic administration and quality assurance
• Advance the school's community engagement, professional outreach and institutional service objectives

Required profile

• A Master of Laws with at least seven academic publications, or a Doctorate in Law with at least four academic publications, in public or procedural law
• At least three years' lecturing experience
• Satisfactory record of teaching, research, publications and service to the academic and wider community
• Experience in postgraduate supervision, curriculum development, moderation, academic administration, legal practice or professional/community engagement is an added advantage
