Senior Technologist - Educational Technology

About the role

The University of Namibia is recruiting a full-time Senior Technologist on its main campus. The position covers teaching modules in educational technology, information and communication technology, learning design technology and advanced educational research, supervising postgraduate students, conducting research and publishing in reputable journals, while serving the wider university and surrounding communities.

Key responsibilities

• Teach modules in educational technology, ICT, learning design technology and advanced educational research
• Supervise postgraduate students
• Conduct research and publish research articles in reputable journals
• Provide service to the wider UNAM community and surrounding communities

Required profile

• A Master's or PhD in Education specialising in Educational Technology, or a Master's or Doctorate in Education (Information and Communication Technology)
• At least three years of lecturing experience at Lecturer level
• An extensive list of publications in reputable or Scopus-indexed journals in educational technology
• A track record of postgraduate student supervision and community engagement
• A record of research grants awarded, digital literacy and ICT in teaching and learning

Required skills

• Use of SPSS or another statistical analysis package is an added advantage
