Lead Mechanic – Advanced Plant Machinery Specialist

About the role

Serve as the top engineering authority on the workshop floor, turning advanced theoretical diagnostics into practical repair methods for highly complex plant machinery and heavy equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis on critical or chronic machinery breakdowns using advanced scientific methods.
• Write and publish technical Standard Operating Procedures for equipment rebuilds, system overhauls, and preventative tracking.
• Oversee workshop instrumentation and tool assets, including diagnostic scanners, calibration machines, sensors, and custom hydraulic press fixtures.
• Prepare detailed technical failure analysis reports for insurance adjusters and warranty panels.
• Mentor and train technicians and mechanics through lectures, schematics deep‑dives, and hands‑on instruction.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of field experience with industrial plant equipment, earth‑moving machinery, or commercial heavy fleets.
• Proven ability to analyze fluid dynamics, pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, and compose technical reports.
