Finance Manager (M/F)

About the role

Africa Global Logistics Namibia, a logistics provider offering clearing and forwarding, transport, warehousing and vessel agency services, is looking for a Finance Manager. The role covers the finance function across the four entities registered in Namibia, leads the accounting team and ensures the accuracy, timeliness and compliance of financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Lead treasury management, including cash-flow forecasting, liquidity planning, borrowing requirements and foreign-exchange exposure.
• Review and authorise creditor payments and petty-cash reconciliations, and ensure expenses are allocated to the right accounts, cost centres and business units.
• Ensure balance-sheet reconciliations (bank, debtor, creditor, intercompany) and VAT calculations are accurate and on time.
• Oversee accounts receivable, credit notes and disbursement reports, and lead the external audit and annual financial statements.
• Maintain accounting policies, internal controls and FIA and SAPIN 2 controls, and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements and escalate material risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (B.Com, B.Com Honours, CIMA, CA(SA) or equivalent preferred).
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant finance experience, including managerial and team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS, taxation, auditing and financial compliance.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and management reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with proven people management and stakeholder engagement.
