Deputy Director: Programme Development (CEQUAM)

About the role

The University of Namibia is recruiting a Deputy Director of Programme Development within its Centre for Quality Assurance and Management (CEQUAM). The post is full time and based at the main campus. The Deputy Director assists the Director of CEQUAM in managing and administering programme development activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, review, implementation and monitoring of the University's academic plan.
• Coordinate the ideation, design, development and continuous improvement of academic programmes that meet societal, industry and professional needs and contemporary pedagogical practices.
• Oversee programme registration, accreditation, amendment and re-accreditation with relevant authorities, professional councils and regulatory bodies.

Required profile

• Master's degree in curriculum development; a relevant PhD in programme development is an added advantage.
• Five years of programme development experience with a master's degree, or three years with a PhD or relevant qualification and working experience.
• A respected person among peers with outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent digital fluency, organisation, planning, analytical, fundraising, administrative and managerial skills, and an understanding of the national and international roles of universities.
