Administrator: Procurement and Logistics

About the role

Deep Catch Trading is looking for an Administrator: Procurement and Logistics to support the efficient execution of procurement permits and logistics operations. The role coordinates import permits, manages import permit documentation, liaises with vets and ensures timely applications with accurate documents, while keeping accurate records, monitoring permits, arranging transport and contributing to smooth supply chain operation.

Key responsibilities

• Cost products and calculate transport costs.
• Apply for and manage import permits required for frozen goods, ensuring applications are submitted on time with complete and accurate documentation.
• Liaise with veterinary services, customs and trade authorities to secure approvals and resolve compliance queries.
• Maintain a structured record-keeping system for permits, certificates and supporting documents, and monitor permit validity and renewal schedules.
• Arrange loads with transporters, process final Goods Receipt Notes, instruct load capacity on trucks for imports and update the container tracking sheet on BC with received data.
• Maintain accurate records, assist in inventory control and stock takes, and help receive goods.
• Support GRV, stock transfers, depreciation and transport matters, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• 2 to 3 years of related experience.
• Fluent communication in English and Afrikaans.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under pressure and to tight deadlines.

• Ability to coordinate across suppliers, vets, customs, logistics providers and clearing agents.
