Delivery Driver - Pro Parcel (FP du Toit)

About the role

FP du Toit Transport Group, established in 1968, offers a range of logistics services including Pro Parcel, a part-load and distribution operation. This delivery driver position reports to the Depot Manager and is based in Walvis Bay.

Key responsibilities

• Handle, load and off-load consignments safely and securely, and report any damage or anomalies to the supervisor or manager before departure.
• Off-load consignments in designated areas when approved, and obtain proof of delivery and other documents from customers.
• Follow company policy on refuelling, fuel cards and petty cash, and comply with health and safety and road safety regulations.
• Carry out security measures such as unpacking, inspection and quality checks.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects immediately, keeping the truck and cab clean and neat.
• Handle fragile, fridge-line and high-value goods correctly.

Required profile

• Grade 10/12 certificate and Namibian citizenship.
• At least 2 years of applied driving experience.
• Valid Code C or CE driver's licence with a valid PDP.
• Police clearance certificate issued within 3 months, with no criminal record.
• Good English reading, writing and speaking skills.
