Team Leader – Retirement Funds

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a Team Leader to oversee the retirement fund administration function within its Corporate Segment. The role involves managing a team of administrators, ensuring daily operational deliverables are met, and maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor daily retirement fund administration operations, including death claims, withdrawals, retirements and risk claim payments.
• Review and submit death claims to the board of trustees and ensure compliance with legislative and product requirements.
• Provide technical administration decisions and serve as the primary contact for trustees, participating employers, members and intermediaries.
• Track and evaluate performance of retirement fund administrators, delivering regular feedback and coaching.
• Plan, assign and balance work priorities while motivating the team to achieve operational excellence.
• Develop and maintain procedural documentation and drive continuous improvement projects.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship.
• NQF Level 7 qualification, preferably in Commerce or Administration.
• 3‑5 years of experience in financial services, with exposure to group life assurance products.
• Proven people‑management experience and ability to lead a team.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and capacity to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication, presentation and conflict‑handling skills.
