Debtors/Creditors Clerk

About the role

We are looking for an entry‑level Debtors/Creditors Clerk to join our finance team in Walvis Bay or Swakopmund. The role will support the full debtors function, cashbook processing and month‑end closing activities while ensuring accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete debtors cycle including invoicing, allocations and collections.
• Maintain debtor ledgers, prepare ageing reports and perform reconciliations.
• Process daily cashbook entries and carry out bank reconciliations.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing procedures.
• Support audit preparation by gathering required documentation.
• Liaise with banks to resolve queries and handle banking administration.
• Produce regular debtor and cashbook reports for management.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to finance and operations teams.

Required profile

• Accounting degree (essential) or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Entry‑level candidate, preferably under 30 years of age.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and numerical accuracy.
• Basic knowledge of month‑end and audit support processes.
• Residency in Walvis Bay or Swakopmund (no relocation).

• Debtors and accounts receivable management.
• Bank reconciliation and cashbook processing.
• Financial reporting and ageing analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software, preferably Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
