Service Consultant – Distribution Team

About the role

The Service Consultant will support Old Mutual’s Distribution Team, assisting with both new and existing business. The role involves handling quotation requests and providing administrative support to the Sales and Consulting teams.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with members, brokers and potential participating employers to ensure timely submission of required information.
• Record, resolve and respond to queries and complaints.
• Collaborate with other OMCS teams to deliver high‑quality service to clients and intermediaries.
• Prepare quotations for new and existing business.
• Support the distribution team with administrative requests and enquiries.
• Prepare and manage registration of special rules and amendments.
• Attend scheduled meetings with key brokers to address service‑related issues.
• Perform ad‑hoc functions for the Head of Distribution.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship.
• Relevant business or commerce qualification (advantageous).
• 2–3 years experience in the insurance and retirement fund industry.
• IISA or Financial Planning qualification (advantageous).
• Assertive self‑starter with excellent organisational skills.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle conflict.
• Capability to work under pressure while maintaining client relationships and high service levels.
• Understanding of Retirement Funds and Group Life Assurance products.
• Willingness to travel.
