Territory Manager

About the role

The Territory Manager is responsible for driving sales and operational performance across a portfolio of sites within a defined geographic area. This role ensures profitability, manages key stakeholder relationships, and implements company strategies on the ground.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sales and operations of assigned sites to achieve profitability and volume targets.
• Negotiate and maintain relationships with retailers, operators and other external partners.
• Oversee Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) compliance in line with Life Saving Rules.
• Coach retailers to improve on‑site operational excellence and customer perception.
• Support the “People Make the Difference Real” rollout through visible leadership, coaching, rewards and performance management.
• Utilise tools such as Navigator and TM Sales Report to monitor and drive performance.
• Implement the Dealer Owned Retail Value Proposition Bundle where applicable.
• Participate in recruitment and selection of top‑performing retailers for company‑owned platforms.
• Act as a role model for VE Core Values and support global reward & recognition schemes.
• Meet territory targets for fuels, convenience retail, lubricants, and cost objectives.
• Identify personal competency gaps, contribute to training needs, and engage in cross‑functional projects.

Required profile

• Degree in Sales, Marketing or a related field.
• More than 5 years of sales experience in a retail environment, managing retailer performance.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of a Namibian local language is an advantage.
• Mature, assertive, outgoing, able to work independently under pressure.
• Strong understanding of the local business environment and proven execution excellence.
• Team player with the ability to build long‑term relationships.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Navigator tool.
• Experience using TM Sales Report.
