General Assistant – Retail Store Support

About the role

Pepkor Lifestyle is seeking an energetic and reliable General Assistant to join our store team. You will help keep the store clean, well‑stocked, and welcoming while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily cleanliness of kitchen, toilets, and store areas in line with OHASA standards.
• Unpack deliveries, stock shelves, conduct stock counts, display promotional materials and report any loss or damage.
• Provide friendly, solution‑focused service to customers and assist with conflict resolution.
• Prioritise daily tasks, collaborate with teammates and pursue personal skill development.

Required profile

• Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a general worker or retail support role.
• Basic knowledge of OHASA legislation, retail customer‑service standards and store policies.
