Senior Project Engineer – Non‑Process Infrastructure

About the role

The client, a joint‑venture gold mining project in Namibia, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to act as the Owner’s representative. You will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities to deliver the non‑process infrastructure safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, process and infrastructure disciplines.
• Review designs, drawings and specifications, identify gaps and resolve interface conflicts.
• Support procurement by preparing technical scopes, specifications and evaluating vendor bids.
• Provide on‑site engineering support during construction, including RFIs, design changes and field issues.
• Assist commissioning, mechanical completion, performance testing and handover to Operations.
• Contribute to project schedules, risk registers and technical reporting while promoting HSE and quality standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical/Process Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer registration or eligibility.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in mining, mineral processing or heavy‑industrial capital projects.
• Proven experience in EPC/EPCM environments coordinating multiple disciplines and contractors.
• Hands‑on construction‑site experience, including field engineering and commissioning support.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD and model‑review tools.
• Strong knowledge of gold processing plant interfaces and non‑process infrastructure systems.
• Ability to manage technical queries, design changes and stakeholder coordination.
