Global Markets Trader – High Impact Role

About the role

RMB is seeking a high‑performing Global Markets Trader to own a substantial portion of the trading and structuring book. The role contributes up to 50% of the desk’s profitability and requires deep market expertise across multiple asset classes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise a large trading book, delivering up to half of the desk’s profit.
• Execute and structure trades across fixed income, FX, equities, credit and commodities.
• Analyse complex market data to uncover trading opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Develop and maintain relationships with sell‑side desks, brokers, and research teams.
• Design and adjust proprietary trading strategies based on market conditions.
• Conduct risk assessments, apply hedging techniques and ensure exposure stays within limits.
• Produce regular P&L performance reports and recommend improvements.
• Mentor junior traders on execution, market trends and risk management.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to refine strategies and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile
