Fleet Manager

About the role

Reload Logistics, founded in 2007 and headquartered in Dubai, is a logistics provider active in freight forwarding, cross-border transport, warehousing, project cargo and customs clearance across Africa and the Middle East. It is looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to take full ownership of its truck and vehicle fleet, keeping it safe, compliant, cost-effective and on the road. The position is based in, or open to relocation to, Walvis Bay.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and optimise daily fleet operations and vehicle utilisation.
• Manage preventive maintenance, workshops and service providers.
• Monitor fuel usage, tracking and telematics and driver performance.
• Ensure roadworthiness, licensing, permits and cross-border compliance.
• Lead health and safety, incident management and insurance claims.
• Control the fleet budget and report on costs and KPIs.
• Supervise, train and develop drivers and fleet staff.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Transport or Supply Chain Management.
• Cross-border fleet management is non-negotiable; experience in Zambia, DRC, Botswana and Zimbabwe is ideal.
• Minimum 5 years of fleet management experience, including 2 in a supervisory role.
• Sound knowledge of the Road Traffic Act and SADC cross-border requirements.
• Valid driver's licence (Code C/EC is an advantage).
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills.
