Community Liaison and Development Officer

About the role

Koryx Copper S.A., the parent company of the Haib Copper Project near Noordoewer, is seeking a Community Liaison and Development Officer. The role focuses on implementing and managing Koryx's Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiatives by building and maintaining positive community relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage CSI projects, budgets and reporting.
• Represent Koryx in Noordoewer and surrounding communities.
• Lead community liaison, stakeholder mapping and grievance processes.
• Deliver engagement presentations, events and sustainability reporting.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Project Management or a related field.
• Experience in community engagement, project coordination and stakeholder relations.
• 3+ years' experience in community engagement, presentations and report writing.
• Namibian citizenship, with preference given to applicants from the //Kharas Region.

Required skills

• Fluent spoken and written English and Afrikaans; additional Namibian languages are advantageous.
• MS Office literacy.
• Strong communication, presentation and report-writing skills.
• Core competencies: strong relationship building, communication, conflict resolution, sound judgment and cultural awareness.
