Service Consultant

About the role

The Service Consultant will support Santam Namibia’s Personal Lines department, assisting new and existing clients and brokers with insurance solutions and legal access underwriting matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer support for a diverse range of insurance products and issues.
• Handle complex orders, inquiries and complaints, acting as the first point of contact.
• Assist new direct clients, market insurance products and prepare quotations.
• Support retention and servicing of existing clients and brokers.
• Communicate with stakeholders, provide feedback and follow‑up on queries.
• Guide and train less experienced staff and coordinate information requests.
• Make discretionary decisions within policy guidelines and communicate outcomes.

Required profile

• Pass mark in Grade 11 or 12 (minimum 22 points) or a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in a similar insurance service role.
• Namibian citizenship; foreign qualifications must be evaluated by NQA.
• Strong knowledge of underwriting, policy review and insurance product application.
