Administrator – Claims Processing

About the role
The Administrator will support Old Mutual's claims operations in Namibia, ensuring accurate processing of claims and compliance with policy and regulatory requirements. This role involves interpreting documents, verifying information with stakeholders, and delivering timely outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Interpret submitted documents, capture information and ensure compliance.
- Make verification calls to stakeholders and assess potential payouts.
- Receive, review, assess and process claims transactions according to internal rules.
- Conduct eligibility checks, benefit assessments and identify irregularities or potential fraud.
- Analyse documentation for completeness and accuracy before finalising payments.
- Respond to basic and advanced customer issues, escalating when necessary.
Required profile
- Namibian citizenship.
- Matric qualification (essential); post‑matric qualifications in administration, finance or related fields are advantageous.
- 1–2 years of administration experience.
- Working knowledge of claim payments and Old Mutual products is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Old Mutual systems such as AWD, BANCS, BIZAGI, CMOS, EMS, Omunet and Outlook is advantageous.
- Strong numerical accuracy, critical thinking and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, stakeholder engagement and adherence to POPIA and internal controls.
Required skills
- MS Office proficiency.
- Experience with AWD, BANCS, BIZAGI, CMOS, EMS, Omunet and Outlook.
- Accurate typing and disciplined document handling.
- Numerical reconciliation and variance balancing.
