Dispatcher – Terminal Operations & Safety

About the role

The Dispatcher will support terminal operations by coordinating truck movements, ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards, and acting as the central point of contact for Puma Energy and other oil companies. This role requires close collaboration with security, the gantry supervisor, and transport coordinators to maintain safe and efficient loading processes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Terminal Manager with HSEQ management system implementation and record unsafe practices.
• Participate in monthly safety meetings and conduct safety observations.
• Review and verify schedules from Puma Energy and other oil companies, ensuring correct truck registration and driver details in FBS.
• Generate Truck Loading Instructions (FAN) in the TMS and verify road transport documentation.
• Use ePuma systems (Salesforce, WinDMS) to validate data and flag discrepancies.
• Maintain daily summary sheets, balance supplier accounts, and log truck seals.
• Share updated schedules with security to prevent entry delays.
• Serve as the primary contact for dispatch inquiries, maintain a query log, and liaise with security and gantry supervisors.
• Provide relief for Rail Dispatch / Admin Clerk as needed.

Required profile

• Experience in terminal dispatch, transport coordination, or similar logistics roles.
• Familiarity with HSEQ policies and safety documentation.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including security, drivers, and oil company representatives.
• Strong attention to detail for data verification and record‑keeping.
