About the role
The Store Officer is responsible for the efficient management of tyre inventory, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, and distribution. This role supports the branch by maintaining precise stock records and coordinating with suppliers and customers.
Key responsibilities
- Receive stock, verify quantities, sizes, order numbers, and documentation; report short deliveries.
- Store tyres neatly, maintain accurate computer records, and ensure daily stock counts are completed.
- Process special orders, attach recharge invoices, and resolve stock variances promptly.
- Release stock only on authorized requests, manage old casings, and prevent back‑order issues.
- Ensure tyres are correctly rethreaded, dispatched on time, and match factory invoices.
- Maintain the master control book, update registers, and handle second‑hand and scrap tyres according to approvals.
- Communicate stock status to representatives and keep suppliers informed of procedures.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate stock handling.
- Ability to follow documented procedures and maintain precise records.
- Reliability in completing tasks without defects.
