Imports & Exports Supervisor

About the role

The Imports & Exports Supervisor will lead a team responsible for managing import and export shipments, ensuring high‑quality execution and supporting managerial decision‑making. This role combines operational oversight with continuous improvement of processes and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Execute own and team work according to operating procedures and service level agreements.
• Monitor and report transactional activities to provide timely information for decisions.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver activities to meet agreed standards and operational objectives (daily to 3‑month horizon).
• Coordinate learning interventions to foster a development culture within the team.
• Prevent financial losses by monitoring daily work activities.
• Meet and exceed internal and external customer expectations.
• Negotiate optimal carrier pricing for shipments.
• Create an engaging and productive work climate aligned with the employee value proposition.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Up to 5 years of experience in a similar environment, including at least 2 years of tactical leadership or specialist experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of client liaison, export, import, negotiation, organization, coordination, people management, and labour relations procedures.
