Financial Manager – Namibia

About the role

The Financial Manager will be responsible for safeguarding the financial health and sustainability of Unitrans’ operations in Namibia. This role supports both the Mining and Freight business lines, providing timely and accurate financial information to operational and divisional leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present financial reports that meet Namibian statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with country and site operational leaders to drive financial performance, working capital optimisation and cost control.
• Monitor and manage risks associated with capital‑intensive mining and freight activities.
• Liaise with the Divisional Head of Finance – Mining & Agriculture and Group reporting structures to ensure alignment and consistency.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for both business lines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance management within mining, freight or similar capital‑intensive sectors.
• Strong understanding of Namibian financial regulations and statutory reporting.
• Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for operational decision‑making.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
