Credit Origination Manager – Corporate & Commercial Banking

About the role

The Credit Origination Manager will lead the end‑to‑end credit origination process for corporate and commercial clients, delivering client‑centric solutions that align with the bank’s risk appetite. This role blends strong analytical capability with commercial insight to support sustainable growth across Namibia and neighbouring markets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full credit origination lifecycle, from client assessment to deal closure.
• Conduct in‑depth financial analysis, including cash‑flow forecasting, stress testing and sector‑specific risk assessments.
• Structure tailored credit solutions and risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present high‑quality credit proposals to credit committees and senior stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and credit governance frameworks.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes and turnaround times.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in credit risk, credit origination or corporate/commercial banking.
• 2–3 years of leadership experience managing and developing a team.
• Professional certifications (CFA, CA, CIMA, Credit Risk) are advantageous.
• Experience in sectors such as agriculture, mining, construction, manufacturing, logistics, financial services or oil & gas is a plus.
