Software Developer (Mid-level)

About the role

We are looking for a mid-level Software Developer to deliver foundational IT development and support services. You will apply established programming standards and frameworks to develop, maintain, and enhance existing systems while helping to improve coding practices.

Key responsibilities

• Increase operational efficiency by identifying and removing duplicated processes.
• Deliver exceptional service through proactive, innovative solutions and fast query resolution.
• Implement system enhancements that address specific business needs.
• Code, compile, test and deploy applications; support development environments.
• Ensure compliance with IT development governance, legislative and audit requirements.
• Mitigate risks by following SDLC, change and release management processes.
• Minimise system defects and verify systems after changes.
• Manage programming incidents in line with SLA targets.
• Continuously assess performance, seek feedback and request training as needed.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Java or Python.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
• Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript and related frameworks).
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
