Senior Manager IT Audit

About the role

Lead and review the audit process for a portfolio of audits, providing independent assurance that supports client‑centric risk management. You will oversee the audit team and ensure high‑quality execution across banking systems and applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a risk‑based assurance plan and feed it into the portfolio for review and approval.
• Input approved audit projects into the audit system, capturing dates, risk coverage and resource allocation.
• Manage and shape audit project scopes, engaging IA specialists and securing executive sign‑off.
• Identify practices that negatively impact client experience and recommend improvements.
• Maintain comprehensive risk assessments for all risk types within the business area.
• Influence risk culture through audit projects and stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Commerce, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Professional auditing qualification – CISA or CIA (essential).
• 5‑7 years of experience planning and executing audits, senior stakeholder management and team leadership.
• Project management experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of banking systems, applications, processes and modern internal auditing practices is beneficial.
