Salaried Financial Advisor – OMAO

About the role

We are looking for a salaried Financial Advisor (OMAO) to join Old Mutual’s team in Namibia. The role focuses on delivering tailored financial advice to an allocated market segment while driving new business and supporting client retention.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality customer service, process cases, resolve complex queries and support retention initiatives.
• Analyse client problems and propose technical or professional solutions.
• Welcome visitors, respond to information requests and refer complex matters to specialists.
• Record follow‑up actions and update the CRM system after each client interaction to maintain accurate data for retention and development.
• Clarify customer needs, set objectives for sales calls, tailor presentations and gather relevant information.
• Develop and execute relationship‑management plans for prospective accounts, building networks with decision‑makers.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory codes, obtaining supervisory approval for any procedural exceptions.
• Monitor sales and market data for a defined geographic region to identify business development opportunities.
• Represent Old Mutual at sector events, gather market intelligence and enhance the company’s visibility.
• Conduct research using primary data sources and business‑intelligence tools to identify trends.
• Participate in internal and external networks to share ideas and best practices.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work independently.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance in the financial sector.
