About the role
The Relationship Manager – Public Sector Banking will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of public‑sector clients. You will deliver tailored financial solutions, drive revenue, and support both asset and liability growth while ensuring high‑quality service and client retention.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow a defined client portfolio to meet revenue, asset and liability targets.
- Identify lending opportunities and coordinate credit solutions aligned with client needs.
- Drive liability growth through new client acquisition, retention and increased product utilisation.
- Execute relationship‑management strategies and develop actionable client‑engagement plans.
- Identify cross‑sell and upsell opportunities to maximise portfolio value and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular engagement and tailored solutions.
- Monitor portfolio performance (revenue, balances, utilisation) and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Credit, Risk, Product and Operations teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Oversee client onboarding, servicing and retention activities.
- Resolve escalated client issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and risk frameworks.
- Prepare performance reports and insights for decision‑making.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of client‑engagement processes.
Required profile
- Relevant degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- 4–6 years of experience in banking, relationship management, sales or portfolio management.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and drive revenue and balance‑sheet growth.
- Experience in cross‑selling and upselling financial products.
