Registered Nurse – General Ward Relief

About the role

Mediclinic is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide relief coverage on general wards. The role involves delivering safe, comprehensive nursing care while supporting a multidisciplinary team and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi‑professional team.
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in General Nursing (essential).
• Midwifery post‑graduate certificate or diploma (desired).
• No minimum experience required; 1 year post‑graduate qualification experience in a specialised unit is desirable.
• Basic Life Support training (ACLS, ATLS, PALS) for specialised wards.
