Junior Economist (Stata/R) – Impact Evaluation

About the role

IDinsight is seeking a Junior Economist to join its internal evaluation team. The role focuses on coding, data quality, and analysis for impact evaluations across health, education, agriculture, and other development sectors. Candidates will work on projects in Dakar, Nairobi, Lusaka, Rabat, Manila, or Delhi.

Key responsibilities

• Design evaluation protocols, estimate sample sizes, and program random assignment or matching schemes.
• Develop and program SurveyCTO questionnaires for digital data collection.
• Write and review Stata and/or R code to ensure high‑quality data management and analysis.
• Conduct statistical analyses to generate evidence‑based recommendations.
• Create clear visualizations—graphs, charts, tables, and maps—to present findings to clients.
• Perform quality control reviews of code and data outputs produced by team members.

Required profile

• Work authorization in Senegal, Kenya, Zambia, Morocco, the Philippines, or India.
• Strong quantitative background with experience in impact evaluation or related research.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
