Finance Consultant

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a Finance Consultant to join its client‑facing team. You will provide tailored financial products, deliver financial education, and build lasting relationships with both individual and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Recommend appropriate financial products to meet client needs.
• Provide financial education and guidance to clients and companies.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional service.
• Deliver prompt, friendly, and compliant customer service.
• Use interpersonal techniques to gain client acceptance and facilitate cross‑selling.
• Achieve sales targets within set timelines.
• Monitor market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
• Retain existing business and generate new sales leads.

Required profile

• Grade 12 with commercial or business subjects (minimum 25 points).
• At least 3 years experience in business management, insurance, or financial services.
• Code B driver’s licence (Code C1 advantageous).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with diverse backgrounds.
• Strong team focus and willingness to work extended trading hours when required.
• Computer literacy and good numerical ability.
