Contracts Supervisor – Rock Tools

About the role

The Contracts Supervisor – Rock Tools is responsible for the profitability and growth of Sandvik Mining's underground and surface rock tools business. The role oversees commercial contract administration and ensures effective service delivery within the assigned geographic area.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and schedule team activities to meet work schedules and targets.
• Monitor contract performance, identify problem areas and adapt procedures to improve overall team performance.
• Liaise with sales, marketing, finance, supply and logistics managers to integrate contract activities across the business.
• Ensure effective revenue generation and profitability of contracts while maintaining health, safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Matric/N3 technical qualification or equivalent.
• At least 5 years’ experience in maintenance within a mining environment.
• Certificate of Competence in GET maintenance.
• Strong EHS focus and ability to work safely in a surface mining setting.
• Valid driver’s license; Namibian citizenship advantageous.

Required skills

• GET maintenance competence.
• Understanding of drilling equipment and consumables.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Computer literacy and track system knowledge.
