Commissioned Financial Advisor

About the role

The Commissioned Financial Advisor will support individual, corporate and institutional clients in achieving their financial objectives. Working under Old Mutual’s brand, you will provide tailored advice, promote a range of financial products and grow a high‑net‑worth client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial advice and solutions in line with Old Mutual’s value proposition and compliance framework.
• Develop, track and review a business plan to meet personal performance targets.
• Prospect and acquire new clients within allocated markets while retaining existing relationships.
• Manage a portfolio of clients, overseeing product holdings across Old Mutual’s suite of solutions.
• Deliver high‑quality customer service, handling complex queries and resolving issues.
• Analyse client needs, prepare customised presentations and follow up using the CRM system.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (minimum 23 points) in commerce or an ORA degree (NQF Level 7) in business/commercial fields.
• At least three years of experience in business management, insurance, or financial services.
• Namibian citizenship and a valid driver’s licence (advantageous).
• Ability to leverage existing high‑net‑worth networks and present solutions effectively.
• Above‑average numerical ability and a professional appearance.
• Willingness to work on a commission basis and a recent police clearance (≤ 3 months).

Required skills

• Computer literacy.
• Proficiency with CRM systems for data entry and client management.
