Supervisor – Credit and Collections

About the role

The Supervisor of Credit and Collections will design and implement collection strategies, overseeing the people and processes that drive day‑to‑day operations of the Collections unit. The role supports the Head of Credit & Collections in managing impairments, rehabilitating non‑performing loans and ensuring the portfolio stays within the organisation’s risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise operational collections system efficiencies.
• Drive overall collections performance and arrears control.
• Manage recoveries and minimise provisions through effective rehabilitation of loans.
• Provide escalated client and customer query support, particularly for insurance and collections issues.
• Supervise and mentor the collections team, ensuring adherence to policies and targets.
• Monitor compliance, risk management and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in Administration, Commerce, Finance, Law or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in credit, collections, rehabilitation or recoveries within the financial services sector.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or team‑lead experience.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and systematic approach.
• Emotionally mature, able to work under pressure and make data‑driven decisions.
• Valid driver’s licence.
