Senior Associate – Data Analytics

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Associate to join its IT Audit team, focusing on data analytics. You will help assess the design and effectiveness of clients' IT systems and controls, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate IT systems, controls, and governance processes for compliance and risk management.
• Interpret data to generate insights and actionable recommendations for clients.
• Apply a broad range of tools, methodologies, and techniques to solve complex problems.
• Uphold professional and technical standards, including PwC audit guidance and independence requirements.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to build meaningful relationships and deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, Engineering, Data Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a similar data‑analytics or IT‑audit role.
• Motivated, enthusiastic, with a strong blend of hands‑on data/programming experience and market awareness.

Required skills

• Experience with Hadoop and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies.
• Knowledge of machine‑learning algorithms such as k‑nearest neighbours, random forests, ensemble methods, and deep neural networks.
• Ability to work with diverse data types and apply data fundamentals.
