Regional Sales & Support Officer – Central North & North East

About the role

The Regional Sales & Support Officer will integrate, influence and execute the tactical delivery of the Personal Market Sales and Service strategy for the Central North & North East region, ensuring optimal achievement of business attraction, retention and expansion targets.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a sales lead generation platform in collaboration with business partners such as Home Loans, Vehicle and Asset Finance, Employee Value Banking and Finance.
• Coach and educate management and staff on sales and product knowledge acquisition and application.
• Manage development, communication and consistent implementation of sales best practices aligned with segment value propositions.
• Spearhead migration of customers in line with segment propositions and regional growth targets.
• Support management in identifying and analysing problem trends to close gaps.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree NQF 7 in Commerce, Finance, Business Management or related field.
• 5‑7 years’ experience as a professional banker, with a significant portion spent in a branch/sales position in the personal market.
• Retail banking branch experience to understand operational, physical and process risk.
• Behavioural competencies: practical approaches, articulating information, establishing rapport, interpreting data, meeting timescales.
• Technical competencies: banking processes & procedures, customer understanding, financial acumen, product knowledge, risk identification & reporting.
