Professional Civil Engineer

About the role

The Professional Engineer (Civil) will deliver high‑quality engineering designs and technical solutions for road and highway projects in Namibia. Working within the Roads & Highway division, the role supports project planning, design, delivery and close‑out while ensuring compliance with standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Produce engineering designs, drawings and models using Autodesk Civil 3D, CAD platforms and BIM workflows.
• Prepare clear technical reports and documentation of acceptable quality.
• Review and take professional responsibility for the work of engineers and technicians.
• Supervise inspections of constructed works, verify compliance with designs and propose remedial actions.
• Support project budgets, resource planning and contract administration, including variation orders and claims assessment.
• Manage sub‑consultants and mentor junior staff to ensure timely, high‑quality deliverables.
• Communicate with clients on technical matters, present project updates and contribute to bid proposals.

Required profile

• Qualified Professional Engineer (Civil) able to work independently on multidisciplinary projects.
• Experience supervising engineers, technicians and small project teams.
• Strong ability to prepare technical reports and engage with clients and stakeholders.
• Capability to support project budgeting, contract administration and claim assessments.
