Personal Lines Claims Negotiator

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a motivated Personal Lines Claims Negotiator to manage end‑to‑end claim negotiations and settlements for short‑term insurance products. You will act as the primary point of contact for brokers, clients and suppliers, ensuring timely processing and high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and settle personal lines claims before litigation.
• Maintain continuous communication with brokers and clients regarding claim status.
• Process claim payments and perform quality checks on all transactions.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with customers, brokers and suppliers.
• Identify potential fraud, report process issues and contribute to service‑culture improvements.
• Collaborate with the claims team to meet service level agreements.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship with Grade 12/NSSC (minimum 25 points).
• At least 1 year of general work experience.
• Detail‑oriented, high energy and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent customer service, problem‑solving and communication skills in Afrikaans and English.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
