Junior Software Developer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Software Developer to join our development team. You will support the full software lifecycle, from coding and testing to documentation and user support, while learning from senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Write, test, and debug code for new and existing applications.
• Collaborate with senior developers to implement features and improve system performance.
• Design data modules, reports, and workflow integrations.
• Perform unit and integration testing, identify bugs, and apply fixes under guidance.
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards.
• Document software changes, processes, and user guides.
• Work with QA, UX/UI, and product teams to align software with business needs.
• Provide basic technical support to internal users.

Required profile

• Grade 12 and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field (NQF Level 7).
• 1‑2 years of software development experience through internships, projects or entry‑level roles.
• Problem‑solving mindset, attention to detail, strong communication, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
