IT Manager - Namibia

About the role

Africa Global Logistics Namibia is looking for an IT Manager for its Walvis Bay office. The role is responsible for planning, delivery, security and continuous improvement of the company's technology environment in Namibia, covering infrastructure, networks, end-user computing, application support, IT service management and cybersecurity, while aligning with group standards and regulatory requirements. It is a full-time, permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the local IT function and partner with business leaders to ensure reliable operations, scalable growth and a good employee and user experience.
• Manage service providers, OEMs and outsourced support partners, with ITIL-aligned service management and strong user support.
• Deliver international infrastructure rollouts, migrations and integrations, including backup, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Support cybersecurity, compliance, business continuity and disaster recovery programmes.
• Manage international vendors, managed service providers and technology partners, and engage with local, regional and international stakeholders.
• Drive standardization, automation and continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10-15 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3 years in an IT leadership or management role.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise IT in a multinational organization.
• Experience managing IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, service delivery and technology projects.
• Regional/Southern Africa IT support leadership experience and experience with Group IT teams and international stakeholders.
