Senior Mobile Developer (iOS/Android) - Remote

About the role

Perry Street Software is hiring a Senior Mobile Developer (iOS/Android) to join its engineering team reporting to the VP of Engineering. The role is fully remote, 40 hours per week, and covers the user-facing parts of the company's products. Candidates must be able to work during overlapping hours with the global team.

Key responsibilities

• Build clean architecture using dependency injection (Koin/Swinject), modules and functional and reactive programming (RxJava/Combine)
• Create modern UIs with a live style guide using Jetpack Compose and SwiftUI
• Write tests and run behavior-driven development starting with the ViewModel layer, using Quick/Nimble, KoTest, Konsist and CombineExpectations
• Work in an agile team with Product, Design, Support and Marketing to deliver end-to-end solutions, including design, requirements, coding, refactoring, delivery and maintenance
• Communicate well through pair and mob programming across a global team
• Learn new technologies such as Kotlin, React and/or Ruby on Rails, and use AI coding tools to speed up development

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of software development experience and 4+ years of iOS or Android app development
• Experience shipping consumer iOS or Android apps, preferably available in the stores
• Experience with testable and maintainable mobile architectures; bonus for SwiftUI/Combine, Jetpack Compose/RxJava, Swift Package Manager, Gradle, MVVM, Ruby, SQL, Linux, TypeScript, Databricks, AWS, Bitrise or GitHub Actions, Lottie and CI/CD
• Ability to work remotely with global teams, pair program and learn new languages such as Ruby, Python or SQL
• Timezone availability: EU 11am-8pm CET (winter) / 12pm-9pm CET (summer); Brazil and North America 8am-5pm EST; collaboration possible 9am-1pm EST regardless of timezone
