Financial Advisor – Salaried (OMAO)

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a salaried Financial Advisor (OMAO) to provide advice on a specific range of products to an allocated market. The role is individually accountable for achieving results through personal effort.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality customer service, process cases, handle complex queries and resolve issues.
• Analyze problems to propose technical or professional solutions.
• Receive visitors and direct requests for information to appropriate colleagues.
• Schedule follow-up actions and record interactions in the CRM system to support retention and business development.
• Clarify customer needs, set objectives for sales calls, tailor presentations and gather relevant information.
• Develop and implement relationship-management plans for prospective accounts, building connections with decision-makers.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures and regulatory codes, obtaining supervisor authorisation for any exceptions.
• Monitor sales and market data for a defined geographic region to identify business development opportunities.
• Create sales opportunities by networking at sector events, gathering market intelligence and enhancing the organisation’s visibility.
• Conduct research using primary data sources and business-intelligence tools to explore trends.
• Participate in internal and external networks to share ideas and technologies.
