Finance Manager – Tourism Regulatory Authority

About the role

The Namibia Tourism Board is seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial planning, management and control of its resources. The role ensures compliance, supports regulatory programmes through strategic budgeting and oversees reporting, audits and risk management to enable transparent operations within the tourism sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain multi‑period budgets, forecasts and scenario models aligned with the Board’s strategic goals.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, cash‑flow reports, KPI dashboards and present insights to senior management and the board.
• Monitor liquidity, manage accounts receivable/payable and coordinate funding arrangements with banks and investors.
• Implement internal controls, ensure adherence to GAAP/IFRS, local tax legislation and corporate governance policies.
• Lead the finance team, drive process improvements, introduce automation and oversee ERP and Business Intelligence reporting tools.
• Manage the Board’s investment activities, fixed‑asset register and maintain banking relationships.

Required profile

• Qualified professional with proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, reporting and risk management.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, Namibian VAT, Income Tax, Labour and SOE legislation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a finance team and work closely with senior executives.
• Excellent analytical skills and capacity to translate financial data into strategic recommendations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP financial systems.
• Advanced use of Power BI for reporting and dashboard creation.
• Financial modelling and forecasting tools (e.g., Excel, FP&A software).
• Experience in budgeting and cash‑flow management.
