Assistant Cementing Operator (Entry Level)

About the role

Halliburton is seeking motivated individuals to join its Cementing team as Assistant Operators. This entry‑level position provides hands‑on experience with cementing equipment and supports field operations in Namibia.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with rigging‑up and rigging‑down of cementing service equipment on site.
• Spot cement storage vessels, pre‑mix spacer fluids, and set up data monitoring tools.
• Support the operation of cement pumps, blenders, liquid‑additive metering systems, centrifugal pumps, and data acquisition systems.
• Help perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete related paperwork.
• Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mathematical, reading and writing abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a field‑service environment.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety and environmental guidelines.
• Commercial driver’s licence may be required; I‑Learn courses (Essential Mathematics, Red Book, Cementing 1) may be required.

Required skills

• Cement pumping and mixing equipment operation.
• Blenders and liquid‑additive metering systems.
• Centrifugal pumps.
• Data acquisition and Automatic Density Control (ADC) systems.
• Bulk cement blending, delivery and storage systems.
• Manifold equipment and cementing plug releasing tools.
• Basic computer skills.
