Instrumentation Technician – Hybrid Role

About the role

Navachab Gold Mine is seeking a full‑time Instrumentation Technician to join its team in Walvis Bay. This hybrid position combines on‑site work with the flexibility of remote tasks, focusing on the maintenance and optimisation of instrumentation systems that support safe and efficient mining operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and optimise instrumentation and process control systems.
• Perform regular calibration and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Diagnose technical issues quickly to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve system reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety and operational standards specific to the mining environment.

Required profile

• Technical certification or diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in a mining, production or heavy‑industrial setting is advantageous.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations within the mining industry.
