R&M Electrical Technician I

About the role

Halliburton is seeking an R&M Electrical Technician I to join its down‑hole tool team in Swakopmund, Namibia. The role focuses on repairing, maintaining and calibrating electronic components of directional, RSS and M/LWD sensors used in drilling operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, calibration and inspections on down‑hole tool electronics and related equipment.
• Assemble and disassemble tools associated with PSL equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Support measure‑while‑drilling (MWD) and logging‑while‑drilling (LWD) tool operations.
• Document work performed and report any issues to supervisors.

Required profile

• Technical school certificate or equivalent; an associate degree or higher is preferred.
• Entry‑level candidates with a strong interest in the energy sector.
• Ability to work under strict supervision and follow safety procedures.
