R&M Mechanical Technician I

About the role

Halliburton is seeking an entry‑level R&M Mechanical Technician I to join its CT Hydraulics team in Swakopmund, Namibia. You will work under close supervision to maintain and repair down‑hole tools and related equipment, supporting the global energy industry.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, calibration and inspections on down‑hole tools and associated equipment.
• Assemble and disassemble tools, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to quality standards.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and schematics to guide maintenance activities.
• Use precision measurement instruments to verify tool specifications.
• Document work performed and report any safety or performance issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certificate preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under supervision.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
