MDX Mechanic – Namibia

About the role

We are looking for an MDX Mechanic to join our team in Namibia, responsible for repairing and maintaining drilling machinery and ensuring reliable workshop operations. The role includes providing technical support, overtime and standby duties as required.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repairs, planned and preventative maintenance on drilling equipment.
• Supervise workshop activities and ensure compliance with safety and health standards.
• Provide technical support for equipment performance and standby operations.

Required profile

• Minimum N3 or Grade 12 education; N6 + Mechanic trade qualification.
• At least 2 years experience in exploration drilling as a mechanic.
• Medical fitness for workshop and site duties and compliance with client safety and legal requirements.
• Valid Code C driver licence.

Required skills

• Advanced Hydraulics certification.
• MR or HR equipment‑specific licence.
• Experience operating CS14 Drill Rig.
• Experience operating THOR Drill Rig.
• Mechanical repair and maintenance of drilling machinery.
