Mechanical Fitter – Drilling Equipment (Namibia)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our drilling operations in Namibia. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, maintaining and servicing a range of drilling machinery, ensuring optimal performance, reliability and compliance with safety standards. The role includes standby and overtime duties to support continuous operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of drilling machinery and associated equipment.
• Conduct fault finding and technical troubleshooting to minimise downtime.
• Execute preventive and planned maintenance programmes.
• Ensure all work complies with safety, quality and operational standards.

Required profile

• Minimum N3 or Grade 12 education, plus N6 and a recognized Fitter trade qualification.
• At least 2 years’ experience in exploration drilling as a Fitter.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience operating CS14 and THOR drill rigs.
• Medical fitness for workshop and site duties.
• Valid Code C driver’s licence.
