Management Accountant – Freight Forwarding

About the role

The Management Accountant will support DP World’s freight forwarding business by recording, classifying, and analysing financial data. You will work closely with operational teams to ensure accurate reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present general ledger accounts and monthly management accounts.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis of actuals versus forecasts and budgets.
• Process recurring and non‑recurring journal entries and perform month‑end close activities.
• Review gross profit, generate exception reports, and resolve queries with operational teams.
• Assist in budget and forecast preparation, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and intercompany transaction validation.
• Prepare payment proposals, follow up on debtors, and produce weekly cash‑flow forecasts.
• Upload bank statements, reconcile banks, maintain the fixed‑asset register, and support tax reporting (VAT, income tax, withholding tax).
• Generate month‑end Hyperion reporting packs and support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• BCom Finance degree.
• 2‑3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in clearing and forwarding.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
